Talking friendship and boys with the girls
Avery and I were chatting about making friends last night, and she mentioned that a boy in her group  at camp was from Brandeis and had been in Mrs. Eisenhauer’s class last year. “Why don’t you tell him that you’re going to be in her class next year?” I suggested, thinking that would be a way to get them talking. Avery gave me a funny look and said, “Um, I don’t know if that’s how you make friends.” Zoe overheard and chimed in: “Yeh, he’s a boy – and boys don’t respond to things like that. Boys are different than girls, Mommy.”
