Zoe’s day at the zoo

The first time Zoe went to the zoo, back in late Jan., she slept almost the entire time. (See 1.28 post for pictures.) Today marked her third visit there, and she managed to stay awake most of the afternoon. She did sleep through the lions, tigers and bears (oh, my), but she saw many other animals and insects (the spiders and bees seemed to be favorites) and even got to pet a few. Another highlight: she and her dad hung out for a bit in a fire truck, thanks to some nice firemen waiting outside the zoo.

To quote from one of my favorite movies (“Old School”), it was a “pretty nice little Saturday.”

    How come the parents are all bundled up and Zoe has short sleeves only?

    Spoken like a true mom…It was actually very nice out that day and Dad only had his coat on for about 2 minutes before he had to take it off. Zoe also had a coat and blanket in her stroller. She had lots of fun!
