Little mommies

I’m not sure if it’s gender, personality or a universal-kid thing, but my girls love playing with babies. Avery is constantly pushing around her favorite doll (one that makes crying noises) in the stroller, and Zoe loves pretending she’s a mommy taking care of her (often sick) babies. (“Oh, do you need our paci?” she’ll ask.) The three of us were “playing baby” last night, and I couldn’t help but smile when Zoe took one of her swaddled dolls (“We’re in Madison, and the baby is cold!”) and began singing and bouncing it to sleep. Even cuter: Taking a cue from her sister, Avery picked up her doll, held it tight to her chest and began singing the ABCs, the song she hears every night before bed.

If these early activities are any indication, Zoe and Avery are going to be great mommies!
