It is almost fly time!
So, tomorrow is a big day for Zoe – it will be her first trip on an airplane! We are heading to Madison for the long weekend and will return on Tuesday afternoon. Zoe is very excited for this trip…she has already packed and is out shopping with her mom for some last minute clothes. The forecast is good for Zoe to see her first snow tomorrow. She keeps talking about sledding and ice skating, but for this trip she may just be staring at the snow through the window. We are crossing our fingers that she likes air travel as much as we do…

Tons of snow here in Santa Fe…come on down. We’ll do Zoe’s first snowman or snowgirl…

Oh boy — good luck! We were so nervous about Davey’s first flight, earlier this month. If you’re lucky, she’ll want to eat during take-off and descent. And if you’re REALLY lucky, she’ll start yawning on her own, when the air pressure changes. Good luck!

Jessica, this is not the way to prepare them for the first air trip. Not every child suffers from the changes in air pressure and why think that Zoe will?
Zoe comes for a traveling family and she will do just fine.

Ooo, sorry. I didn’t intend to imply that she’d do poorly. In fact, our little guy did great on his first flight, completely obliterating the fears we’d had beforehand. From the looks of it, Zoe came through with “flying colors”. Great job, Zoe!

She did do great, but we actually took your advice and had her eat during take off and landing, when we could…We figured we try any little tricks we can do to make things better…
